Like many cottage properties, this home lacked dedicated space for vehicle and boat storage. After embracing year round life up north, the clients sought to expand their lifestyle with a coach house addition that combines storage with a home gym.

Designed in continuity with the existing cottage and local vernacular, the new structure was planned to withstand northern Ontario winters while opening onto the surrounding landscape through custom carriage doors and a balcony for summer use.

The upper level features residential grade finishes, allowing for future conversion into secondary living space. A light filled gym with custom mirrors and a wall mounted ballet barre overlooks the forest, while the balcony is sized for yoga and outdoor movement, offering an airy extension above the property.
